How subway and quest fast travel work

Use one of Sunvale's 15 subway stations for normal local travel. Roped or attached animals can travel with you. A separate “skip driving” option exists only during selected main-quest drives; when offered, it transports the quest vehicle and its passengers and animals to the destination.
Subway and quest skip are not the same feature

Use the subway without creating a second problem
- Identify the destination station first.The network reduces long city trips, but it does not mean every destination has a door-to-door stop.
- Check attached animals.Official notes describe attached or roped animals traveling with the player. Record any animal that does not arrive before detaching or reloading.
- Remember the vehicle.Normal subway travel is described separately from quest-vehicle transport. Do not assume a parked personal vehicle follows an ordinary subway trip.
- Use legal parking.If leaving a vehicle behind across a day transition, use the ranch or designated Overnight Parking to avoid impound.
Passengers and animals
The selected quest skip has broader transport language than normal subway travel: it includes the quest vehicle and all passengers, including players, NPCs and farm animals. The subway description specifically confirms attached or roped animals. These distinctions matter when diagnosing a missing vehicle or animal.
If an attached animal does not arrive after subway travel, record the animal type, station pair, attachment state and build. Do not publish one failure as a universal rule; send it to the research queue.
Fixed in 0.8.10.562 · Official The August 11, 2026 hotfix fixed roped animals freezing after subway travel and roped animals remaining stuck outside the Veterinary Clinic. Test any recurrence on the current 0.8.10.842 build before treating it as a current bug.
Where your vehicle goes
During a supported quest-driving skip, the official notes say the vehicle moves to the destination with the group. During ordinary subway travel, no equivalent promise is stated for a personal vehicle. Park it legally before leaving it for an extended period and use vehicle recovery if it is later impounded or stuck.

The station count, animal travel and selected quest-skip behavior come from official Steam updates. Exact fares, every station position and the complete list of quests offering a skip are not published here because current-build observations are still incomplete.
