The Ranchers Transport Update: Parking, Subway and Vehicle Recovery

Player-impact update · August 2026 · Current comparison baseline: 0.8.10.842

Evidence status: the parking and travel rules below combine official update guidance with the current release checklist. Treat the recovery flow as a practical first check, not proof that every missing vehicle is the same bug.

Answer first

Park vehicles at your ranch or a designated Overnight Parking location. If one disappears, open My Garage and check the nearest Car Pound before assuming the save lost it. Subway travel is available across Sunvale, and the current hotfix specifically matters for roped animals freezing after travel.

Where to leave a vehicle

The safest routine is to return the vehicle to your ranch or use a marked Overnight Parking location before ending the session. The current map directory lists 17 overnight parking locations; use the map as a directory rather than treating every roadside space as approved parking.

Subway travel and attached animals

Sunvale currently has 15 subway stations after eight were added in the June update. Attached or roped animals can travel with the player. The 0.8.10.562 hotfix addressed a freeze affecting roped animals after subway travel, so reproduce that symptom on the current build before calling it an unresolved old bug.

Do not merge separate transport symptoms. A frozen animal after subway travel, an unresponsive vehicle at AutoHue, and a missing vehicle after loading have different triggers and should be reported separately.

Vehicle recovery order

  1. Confirm the current title-screen build and keep the original save.
  2. Open the smartphone's My Garage app and check the owned-vehicle list.
  3. If the vehicle is broken, destroyed, drowned or stuck, send it to the mechanic through the recovery flow.
  4. Check the nearest Car Pound parking location for the returned vehicle.
  5. If it is still absent, record the last approved parking location, vehicle state, platform and exact trigger before submitting a report.
